Ajay Pundhir
AI Strategist · Executive Coach · Speaker
I've spent 15 years at the intersection of artificial intelligence and enterprise transformation — helping organizations across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia turn AI ambition into measurable business outcomes. Based in Abu Dhabi.

The Story
From engineering labs to boardroom governance
The hardest part of AI isn't the algorithms — it's the humans. I learned this in Nokia's engineering labs, watching intelligent systems fail not because the technology was wrong, but because the organizations weren't ready. That insight followed me through Samsung's innovation corridors, American Express's global transformation, and eventually to the AI frontier in Abu Dhabi with G42 and Presight.
At every organization, the pattern repeated: promising pilots stalled not on technical limitations, but on politics, fear, and the organizational inertia that turns ambitious roadmaps into forgotten experiments. The gap between AI ambition and AI execution isn't a technology problem. It's a people and governance problem.
That is the problem I have spent 15 years working to solve — at Nokia, Samsung, American Express, and now at G42/Presight, shaping AI strategy at national scale. The contrarian premise: responsible AI governance isn't a drag on innovation — it's the thing that makes innovation stick. Organizations that get governance right don't just avoid risk. They earn a trust premium their competitors can't replicate.
Philosophy
Four anchors
The principles that guide every engagement, every recommendation, every conversation.
Trust First
AI without trust is just expensive software. Every strategy must earn the confidence of the people it's meant to serve.
Simplicity Wins
The most powerful strategies are the ones people actually use. Cut scope before cutting quality. Clarity beats comprehensiveness.
Outcomes Over Outputs
Dashboards don't transform organizations — decisions do. I measure success by what changes, not what's built.
Governance as Advantage
Responsible AI governance isn't a compliance cost — it's a competitive edge. Organizations that get it right earn trust premiums their competitors can't replicate.
Journey

Signature Frameworks
- Minimum Viable Governance (MVG)
Build the minimum viable AI governance structure in 90 days — NIST-compatible from day one, with the AAA maturity path.
- PRIME Framework
Wire responsible AI into your development pipeline, not onto it. Five dimensions — Purposeful Impact, Respect for Humans, Interpretable by Design, Mitigated by Engineering, Enforceable Accountability — become build constraints in every sprint.
- The Trust Premium
Organizations that lead with AI trust earn 20–30% pricing power over peers. The structured path from governance to brand advantage.
- The Liability Ledger
The structured methodology for inventorying, scoring, and reducing the hidden liability accumulating in your AI portfolio — before compound interest makes the bill unpayable.
- Agentic AI Readiness (A7)
Seven capability dimensions that determine whether an organization is ready to deploy autonomous AI agents safely at scale.
